Monthly Archives: October 2009 As a family photographer I am often asked for suggestions on what clients should wear for a shoot. I provide a tip sheet with recommendations, such as avoiding strong patterns and logos. That said, it doesn’t mean that clothing should be boring.  I love the juxtaposition of opposites; the soft with the hard, the the pretty with the rough. For a recent family portrait session in the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to work with a gorgeous family with three adorable little girls.  These last couple of weeks I have been battling performance issues. Performance of my computer to be more specific. My trusted Mac has been huffing and puffing trying to keep up with all the photos. After a few sessions of my hair going grey while waiting for it to perform some effects...  Having a cross cultural relationship is not always as easy as one might think. You each come to the relationship with different cultural points of reference, sometimes a different sense of humor and different traditions which can cause misunderstandings and tension.  The weather has been chillier here in Southern California. We have also been blessed with a generous downpour of rain, not much of an event for other parts of the country, but for us it’s a big deal since we are in a drought.
