Yearly Archives: 2009 I had a super fun time taking pictures of this family. They were so easy going, and while the mother had indicated that the kids might not be too cooperative, they were a pleasure to shoot. Their daughter in particular is gorgeous in an intelligent way, if you know what I mean.  As a family photographer I am often asked for suggestions on what clients should wear for a shoot. I provide a tip sheet with recommendations, such as avoiding strong patterns and logos. That said, it doesn’t mean that clothing should be boring.  I love the juxtaposition of opposites; the soft with the hard, the the pretty with the rough. For a recent family portrait session in the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to work with a gorgeous family with three adorable little girls.  These last couple of weeks I have been battling performance issues. Performance of my computer to be more specific. My trusted Mac has been huffing and puffing trying to keep up with all the photos. After a few sessions of my hair going grey while waiting for it to perform some effects...  Having a cross cultural relationship is not always as easy as one might think. You each come to the relationship with different cultural points of reference, sometimes a different sense of humor and different traditions which can cause misunderstandings and tension.
