Category Archives: BEACH In common parlance the expression “Making Time for Number One” refers to making time for oneself and after my post about taking time out to get pampered, you might think that is what I meant. But, in this case when I say number one, I mean the first born.  My mother and I are very close, we’ve always been that way and a few years ago she moved in with my husband and me. I was so happy to meet this multi-generational family, who like myself, all live together happily. The little boy has doting [and might I add gorgeous] parents and grandparents and... On this Mother’s Day I would like to take a moment, not just to celebrate new and young mothers, but the mothers/women who raised us. Every time I shoot at the beach, whether Santa Monica, Venice or down in the South Bay, I am reminded how lucky I am to be a family portrait photographer in a city that a) has a beach, and b) has the climate that enables us to enjoy it most of the year.
