Getting back to work five and a half weeks after giving birth isn’t easy, not just because you’re away from your newborn baby, but because you don’t know what kind of night you’re going to have. You don’t know how many times you might have to wake up and how much (or how little) sleep...  You might recognize this gorgeous mama. I shot her maternity photos over two years ago when she was expecting her first child and to this day, hers is one of my favorite maternity shoots. I love photographing pregnant women in general, but she had such an air of serenity and old Hollywood glamour about her. ...  Remember back in match class when you learned all about common denomintors? I think it’s also a good metaphor for couple having a baby. For my recent newborn shoot in Santa Monica, the metaphor seemed even more appropriate as the loving couple met whilst attending business school, so I’m sure they had their share of...  I’ve been taking photographs of many newborns lately. I mean NEW born, just a few days old. I think it might be the Gods’ way of getting me mentally prepared for how little and fragile they are as I count down for the arrival of my Number Two.
