CRAFT: DIY Halloween treat ideas + FREE printables

Yep, Halloween is just around the corner.  Last year was the first time that my family and I actually went Trick or Treating… EVER.  I didn’t grow up here, neither did my husband so we never did it.  We also wanted to wait until our son was old enough to actually get into the swing of the action and not get overwhelmed.  Well, turns out this year our older son does NOT want to go Trick or Treating again.  It was too much for him.  So, Halloween at school is as close as he’s going to get to the whole thing (so I volunteered to help decorate his school for the occasion).

As you may recall from Valentine, I’m not too keen on overloading the kids at school with candy, so I thought I’d look around to see what cute and EASY Halloween ideas might work.  Check these treats out, no candy involved:

1. Milano ghost cookies from here.

2. Clementine Jack’o Lantern form here.

3. Mini-marshmallow ghosts from here.

What do you think?  I think kids would enjoy them even though the sugar content is lower.:) I also love that they are so simple to do yourself.  As you know, I like a little DIY so here are links to some cute printables I’ve found.

Scary Sign and Halloween Tags from here.

Wishing you a Happy Halloween!
