I’m getting ready to plan my son’s 3rd birthday and there’s nothing better to remind me of the joy and chaos of it all than photographing a child’s birthday party. For this recent birthday party shoot in Brentwood, the family had rented a bouncy castle/waterslide. It was so much fun watching the kids go up and down, never tiring over the thrill of slipping and sliding. Each child approached the slide differently, some jumped action-man style, some sat as demurely as the ride would allow, and some went down head first.
The really novel thing was the cake that the mom had ordered from Susie Cakes and customized to look like the interface of an iPad, featuring her daughter’s favorite apps. The fun of the day may have come and gone, but the pictures will let family and friends near and far relive the moment.
