Los Angeles is physically a very diverse place, from beaches, to mountains, to forests and deserts. It’s no wonder the film industry decided to set up camp here, as every backdrop is readily available. This shoot almost didn’t take place as the family got lost on the way to the location. But persistence paid off and we were able to capture some great moments with their adorable six months old baby boy, as they relaxed and settled into the afternoon.

Bronson Park, part of Griffith Park, has a really woodsy feel and was a great choice because mom told me as we were scheduling the shoot, “we are not a beach family”. Their other baby, a lovely dog named Barkley, didn’t make it into most shots; he was a little distracting as all eyes turn to him … and we definitely wanted to capture baby’s gorgeous blue eyes.

The light at this time of day, was soft and golden, a perfect complement to the surroundings and mom’s auburn hair. BTW- Mom is the lucky winner of the Giveaway I posted in April. To paraphrase a saying, if you enter you might win, but if you don’t enter you definitely wont win. Word to the wise, enter next time![]()
